Pseudomonas Isolation Agar

 

Use: Selective media used for the isolation of Pseudomonas.

Description: Pseudomonas Isolation Agar is a modification of a formula described by King et al. Pseudomonas Isolation Agar was found useful in the isolation of Pseudomonas from pharmaceutical preparations (lotions and creams). The incorporation of Irgasan (R) inhibits most bacteria but allows the growth of Pseudomonas. The formulation also enhances pyocyanin production.
