Use: Peptone Bacteriological is used in preparing microbiological culture media.

Description: Peptone Bacteriological (Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin) is a growth peptone used for the cultivation of most non-fastidious microorganisms. It has a low cystine and tryptophane content and is deficient in carbohydrates. It can be used in fermentation studies. When incorporated in media it will produce growth but at low levels.
